The purpose of this position is:
Performs and manages activities associated with the T & D organization within the client team for various O&M and project activities related to the Hv electrical transmission and distribution system in the Highland and Lowlands.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:
- Safety, supports and helps to implement the client safety programs, actively participates in pre-shift safety meetings, helps with risk analysis and SOP development and review. Observes work in progress to assure safe work practices are followed. Corrects un-safe practices or conditions. Stops work if needed for safety issues. Reports any observed safety issues to the work team and client management.
- Establishes, maintains communications with the client Management team, T & D team, SCADA team and engineering team. Serves as a resource and supports each group as an electrical transmission technical expert.
- Develops client employees in the area of HV electrical operation and maintenance. Including but not limited to transmission & distribution structures and lines and associated breakers, transformers, switches and controls maintenance, repair, testing, and trouble shooting.
- Supports and as assigned leads the routine maintenance planning for T & D work activities and projects. Establish close communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Supports the other client departments, Engineering, Projects, SCADA, Diesel plants and Coal Plant. Also works with the PTFI electrical teams as necessary to support the needs / requirements of client and the site.
- Recommends improvements in our electrical maintenance and testing practices. Assists and or leads in the implementation of these improvements.
- Reviews the results of electrical testing and inspections performed by client employees and or vendors, makes recommendations for issues found in these testing reports. Reporting; produces reports on activities as assigned.

Basic Job Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and seven (7) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eleven (11) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
- Possesses degree / diploma in electrical transmission and distribution maintenance with minimum 10 years related experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
- Has a good knowledge on transmission and distribution design and application in power systems
- Has a good knowledge and the ability to review electrical drawings and equipment manuals
- Has a good knowledge on work planning, executing and control
- Has good ability to work with and develop people’s knowledge and skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skill, self-motivated
- Good in speaking and writing reports in English
- Familiar in operating computer and MS-Office, Excel, and or other engineering software will is an advantage
- The ability to communicate in Bahasa Indonesian language is an advantage
- Has a good knowledge on transmission and distribution design and application in power systems
- Has a good knowledge and the ability to review electrical drawings and equipment manuals
- Has a good knowledge on work planning, executing and control
- Has good ability to work with and develop people’s knowledge and skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Typically degreed, preferably in engineering or business field of study with minimum seven (7) years O&M Home office or Site experience and five (5) years experience managing small to medium somewhat complex Operations & Maintenance (O&M) sites or projects
- Experience in an operating commercial plant
- Minimum seven (7) years in a supervisory/management position
- Experience in heavy industrial environment, as a Maintenance Manager or Senior Supervisor
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customer, and the general public
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
- Experience managing budgets
- Experience in conflict resolution
- Good organizational skills with willingness to delegate and mentor
- Good administrative and management capabilities
- Requires minimal direct supervision.
- Multi-disciplined knowledge of the Electrical processes and equipment involved in power generation, transmission and distribution.
- Strong analytical capability and decision-making skills
- Manage T & D projects and assist in the management and oversite of day to day T & D work activities.
- Implements or drives improvements in the performance of these activities.
